اسماعیل یورد شاهدان  شاعر، نویسنده و پژوهشگر هم روزگار ما ست.  استاد دارای مدرک تحصيلی فوق ليسانس پژوهشی فرهنگ و تمدن  و دکترای پژوهشی روانشناسی ست. از او تاکنون 28 عنوان کتاب، دوازده مجموعه شعر، نه رُمان و  دو مجموعه داستان  وچهار اثر پژوهشی. در زمینه زبان ومبانی حسی زبان و  جامعه شناسی وفلسفه  ) و 47 مقاله علمی و پژوهشی در سطح جهان منتشر شده است که از معروفترين آثار او می توان به مجموعه شعر های  ترانه آبی، اورميای بنفش، یاسمن در باد ، چیزی بخواب زمین نمانده است و رُمانهای سامانچی قیزی ( دختر کاه فروش)، ( آن جا که زاده شدم )، ( رای ورعنا)، (شکار آهوان به شامگاه )، (دلباختگان بی نام شهر من) و (نجوای ناتمام ادل ) ، ( باغ غبار) و کتابهای  پژوهشی،  تبارشناسی قومی و حيات ملی ، زبان ذهن ومعنا و پدیدار شناسی انسانی  چاپ دانشگاه سلطنتی بروگسل  اشاره کرد. بسیاری از آثار او  به زبانهای مختلف ترجمه شده است.

با من از نرگسها بگو  مجموعه ای ست از دوازده داستان کوتاه ویک داستان بلند  بنام  هم گور. نوشته اسماعیل یورد شاهیان که  نشر سیب سرخ  آن را منتشر نموده.  هر یک از داستانها  ساختار ، زبان و سبک وموضوع   متفاوتی دارند و شرح بیانی هستند از سرگذشت  و گذار زندگی   تک تک ما . با مسائل. اتفاق ها و واهمه هایی که به سر می بریم  بگونه ای که در  هریک داستان ها زندگی خود  و اطرافیان و آشنایان و مردم جامعه را می بینم  . مهمترین مورد،  استفاده ی یورد شاهیان از نمادها و  روابط  انسان واشیا  و اسطوره ها  و وقایع در تک تک  تک داستانها. برای نمونه  در داستان مسافر باغ سیب. از زن در هویت اثیر و  سیب وباغ بهشت و ناممکن ها می گوید. و در داستان با من از نرگسها بگو که مورد ستایش زنده یاد  هوشنگ گلشیری بوده از جامعه بسته وعشق ممنوع  و در  داستان هستی از جنگ و بی خانه مانی  و پایمال شدن زندگی و در داستان بلند هم گور  ما به تفکر در حقیقت زندگی وعشق وبودن وامی دارد. ما با  فضای سورئالی روبرو هستیم که  میان مرگ و دو باره زیستن و رشد کردن در هیئت گیاهواره ورها شدن از تمام قیود وناممکن هاست
